Probably Just a Hormone Moment

I know this is just probably my hormones, but I went for my 33 week check-up today and asked if we could schedule my c-section.  My told me I would have to wait till week 35 to do so.  I got pretty upset, because I am trying to give my parents and husband's work as much time as possible to plan for this.  They didn't even act like they cared.  My parents have a 15 hour drive to where I live and need time to get things in line at home before leaving to come here for the births and my husbands work needs at least 2 weeks notice especially since its so close to Christmas.  I really want to talk with the Dr again, but not sure how to approach it or when I could since I don't go back for 2 weeks.  Sorry I just had to vent.

    I would talk to them. I am 32 weeks and my c/s was scheduled last week (for 37w6d). My doc said it's important to have it scheduled early, so if you go into labor beforehand, or if the babies have to come out for some reason beforehand, the hospital already has you on file & knows you were scheduled fo a c-section & has all your info, etc. Maybe talk to your doctors about that reasoning??? HTH

    I go for an NST tomorrow and as long as the Dr comes in to see me I am going to talk with her.  Thanks for the advice.

    My OBs office wouldn't even schedule them until 37 weeks.   They said that in their experience too many people ended up delivering before hand, and the cancelation process with the hospital was a pain, so they waited until 37 weeks to schedule.  My csection was at 38 weeks and 4 days.
