Could it be??!

in 1st Trimester

Hi everyone! My husband and I are proud parents to our 3-year old DS and have been trying since Dec/Jan for #2.  I just took an EPT and when I first looked at the results, it looked like a big fat negative. But... I looked at it again in the sunlight and I could almost swear that I see a very, VERY faint second line. I tried to take a picture put I'm not sure it really does it justice. I took the test before my missed period (anticipated 4/8 or 4/9) and it's later in the day, so I'm wondering if the line might actually be there and just faint because of when I tested?? I am trying not to get ahead of myself. Thought I would run it by a few unbiased eyes firstEPT! Am I imagining it, or is it really there?!  :)

    Did you see it within the time limit? I see something but if it was outside of the time limit the lack of color might mean it is an evap.

    I noticed the line within 3-5 mins of taking the test...

    Then a line is a line! Congrats! My first test looked similar and the next morning I had a more certain positive and definitely positive by three days later. So I would wait a couple days and test with FMU. GL!

    I would go with you are pregnant! :) Mine were VERY faint the first couple times as well, go buy a digital that will give you the real answer. Then go to the doctors!

    Just realized I posted this in the wrong board (I think)... meant to post in TTC. Still new to this!!  But hey... maybe I AM in my 1st trimester!!! ;-)

    Thanks so much for the feedback! I will definitely test again tomorrow or the day after with FMU. I Googled evap lines and I did notice the faint 2nd line within the timeframe, but I'll still feel a lot better when I see a stronger second line! :)

    My first positive (nearly a whole week ago!) looked just like that. It wasn't a very sensitive test, but it was the day before my missed period. I took one later, and it was darker.

     I would also agree that a later test may be darker. If it's darker tomorrow, then congrats!

    I see a line, too! I would take another one first thing in the morning when your levels will be strongest, and maybe try a digital one. But a line is a line...congrats!

    That's what mine looked like when I first took it! CONGRATS!  I'm sure you're bursting at the seams, but try TRY TRY to wait like 2 days to take another one and you'll see a difference :)

    I kind of wonder if the second line is just the area where the reactive part is, but I agree test again with FMU.

    So hard to be sure, so I will definitely be testing again with FMU! Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!! With my first pregnancy I waited until my missed period and there was no mistaking the second line! :) Hope to see something more definitive in the next day or two... ;-)

    Sooo... did you test this morning?! It definitely looks like a line to me, and my first test looked very similar (so I immediately took a digital one, no squinting)! Excited to hear if this morning was more obvious! If you still can't really tell, it's definitely worth it to shell out the $10 or whatever for a few digital tests that just tell you yes or no.

    Yes!!! Tested again Friday morning and the 2nd line was still faint but definitely more prominent than before! I've also been having several symptoms of pregnancy so I'd say, it's official! :)
