  I'm thinking about making my own cupcakes too with a baby friendly recipe since most of his guests will be 1 or younger. I had my eyes set on a beautiful cake but it's $60 and DS might not even get to eat it. So I'm seriously contemplating making my own.

  I actually decided against doing a cake. LO just tried Key Lime pie and LOVED it, so we are doing a Key Lime pie instead of cake. I might do a smash cake for pictures later.
