I saw those information sessions as a way to evaluate agencies and determine which ones we were willing to work with. You'll get an overview of all of their programs. Expect to hear about the process, wait times, the homestudy and fees. I wanted to know where they found (potential) birth moms, or how birth moms found them. I also was very interested in the kind of counsel and support they offered expectant moms and us.
More than anything, those sessions gave me a "gut" feeling about the right agency. Don't stress. This is the good stuff. :-)
At our agency we all met together and talked overall about the adoption process and a little about the programs. Then we split up into 2 groups - one for the Finally Home (adopting legally free children from FC) program and one for the infant program. Then we got more details about the program we were interested in, had the chance to ask questions, and an adoptive family who used the agency came and told about their experiences and answered other questions. It's no-pressure, don't worry at all!
