Too soon to be nesting??

Just a short intro..  I am a full time RN student Mon-Fri 8-5 and I work 7am-7pm on Sat. and Sun. So today due to the Easter holiday, we got Thurday, Friday and Monday off from school. What do you know...I haven't had a day off in months and today I wake up at 7am and am ready to clean. I'm cleaning, organizing, washing and anything else you can think of. I'm only 30 weeks!!!! Is this to soon to be nesting????

Re: Too soon to be nesting??

  • Nope, not at all.  I started a few weeks ago.  Just to show you how bad it's gotten, I started crying the other day because we left our compressor and nail gun at my sister's house.  I really wanted DH to start on our crown molding immediately and now I may have to wait 3 more weeks before we see her again.

I say when the urge hits to clean...and you have the energy....go for it.

  • Ditto to PP...my urge hit last weekend and I am rolling with it! Got the nursery painted, my laundry room is back to normal, and my master bath got a complete makeover. I love it all :) This weekend I am shampooing all the carpets and starting on my DIY mobile that will hang from the ceiling in LO's room!

  • I'm 30 weeks too and my 'nesting' comes in waves. There are days when all I want to do is clean and organize and other days when I'm like "it can wait".

We have the really important stuff, so I am not too concerned, but I am taking a couple days of with DH in two weeks to get stuff completed before LO arrives (finish up projects, do a major/deep clean, so that I jsut need to do some light cleaning until then...and all that stuff that can be a pain to cram into a weekend!

    Enjoy your time off!

  • According to hubby, I've been nesting since the first trimester (I just wanted to get the wall verbs up, LOL).  I've been wanting to clean/rearrange but I haven't had the help I need to do it. Then on the days I do, we're all too tired to do something.
