When did your LO start to "babble"?  All Owen does is grunt, moan, and wimper a.l.l. d.a.y. l.o.n.g..  He sounds like a car that's trying to start.

    I was JUST talking to my BFF about this today. Caroline grunts too & she'll make little squeaky noises at the monkey & birds on her playmat but no babbling at us. She started smiling about 3 weeks ago, I assume babbling will come next?!

    DS turned 7 months yesterday (6 months adj) and he's not babbling.  He'll shriek occasionally and he makes the "mmmmmm" sound a lot.  Just this week he's started yelling more and screeching and kind of experimenting with his voice a little.  I asked my ped about the lack of babbling when we saw him a few weeks ago.  He said it was totally fine and nothing to be worried about.  To be honest, I still worry about it a little bit but I'm encouraged by the new vocalizing he randomly started doing.

    Manny started babbling about 2 weeks ago, he too did the grunting for quite a while.

    Oh wow..my little girls (10 weekers) are already making all sorts of sounds and such.  From the responses here, I guess they might be early talkers.  I just got a first time smile/giggle from Baby A two days ago and a first time smile/giggle from Baby B about 4-5 days ago.  Or maybe I am misunderstanding the post.  He must be a cutie with all those sounds, though.  :)  I'm sure it's coming soon!
