Baby Shower Thank you cards

Should my thank you cards match my invitation?? My friends who threw me the shower ordered mommy silhouette invitations and candy bar wrappers but my cake and decorations were winnie the pooh...so Im wondering does it matter what i choose for a thank you card?

    Get whatever thank you cards you want. People probably have already thrown your invitation away by the time you send out your thank yous. It won't matter if they match. I bought cute ones from Target and sent them out immediately following my shower. People were more excited to get them 2 days later than they were to care if they matched!

    I would say most of the people (minus who threw the shower) will not even notice! 

     I have been an event planner for over 8 years now, I have a ton of people that will sick with the same color but not 'matching' thank-you cards. And some that just fall in love with a thank-you card and do not care what the invites looked like!

     I say pick a thank-you card that you really like, do not worry about other details! Something that works in your budget, and you love the design of is priceless! 

     P.S more people keep your thank-you card then will keep your invite, so this is a great time to show a personal side!

    You'll probably get a bunch of gifts after the baby is born as well, so over-order on the Thank Yous and you can send them for those gifts too.

    I say send whatever you want :) I had a groupon to use for Shutterfly so I had ours made. They don't match the invites what-so-ever. I also have 5 showers total, and I would definitely not be buying different thank-you's for each one :)

    I spent $19.98 for 100 adorable thank you cards in Target. They were pink with a little pastel woodland theme at the bottom and just said thank you on the front... blank on the inside. What more do you need?  I have never kept a thank you card a day in my life when I receive them. I read them, maybe stick them on the fridge for a few days and then toss them. Maybe I just don't like clutter lol.

    Get whatever you want!  I found a pack of notecards with pretty designs and matching envelopes for $4 at TJMaxx... I got like 200 cards!

    This exactly. People really don't care if your shower thank yous match the invite or deor at your shower. But they WILL notice how timely they received it. I did what Fanielle did and bough some cute ones at Target and sat down an busted them out the next day. Not only does it feel good to get the out of the way but I have gotten lots of comments in how quickly people received them.

    This! I've had to go out several times to buy MORE thank you cards... I'll be going out the for the 3rd time to buy some more this weekend! I figured 48 thank you cards would be enough...but I was wrong!

     Yeah, I bought 100 and I've already used half of them... I figured I'll save the rest for gifts that may trickle in (from people who weren't at the shower) and for when the baby is born.

    Other than the fact that they were both pink and white in color, mine didn't match. I don't think it matters.
