Help ease my fears - progesterone levels

My progesterone is tested along with my betas and I was happy to see it go up from 18 to 21 to 22 and then to 28 but now it's back down to 18.   So, make me feel better about that.  I had a drop like that during my second miscarriage so I think that's why I'm paranoid.  In my successful pregnancies my progesterone has tested in the 30s.

I am using prometrium, 800mg a day in fact.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    I don't know about the #s specifically.  I imagine they bounce all over.  Good luck! I am so sorry you have a past that makes your worry.

     I was just lurking, but in a natural cycle it just needs to be above 10.  It's not like a beta, it doesn't rise steadily.  It varies day to day.  18 is great for 5 wks, natural cycle.

    Last year doctor gave me a very detailed tutorial on progesterone levels - it is one of his specialties (and he apparently thinks i am smarter than i am because most went over my head). But i specifically recall that even in the same sample of blood, they could get multiple readings, and variations like that are not cause for concern. And tissue levels of progesterone are often much higher than the blood levels - he wouldn't have been at all concerned with an 18.

    Also, if you are taking the prometrium vaginally, I don't think it will show up in your blood levels.
