Bump Blondies

Are you waiting until 2nd Tri to highlight your hair?

I have an appt for Wednesday (I will be 5w5d) and I am not sure if I should cancel. I have read mixed reviews online and on other bump posts. My first appt with my doctor is Tuesday but, I have to give 24 hours notice with my hair salon. 

What do you think I should do?

    I'm not a blonde, but I'll still dye my hair.. I asked my hairdresser and she said it should be fine.

    I have several friends who were told by their drs to wait until their 2nd trimester. If you want, just call your drs office and ask them.

    I waited last time because I was paranoid. When I had it done in the 2nd and 3rd tri I had her make sure they didn't get any/much on my scalp and I skipped the extra washing of color thing at the end until the 3rd tri. 

    This time I think I'm just going to have them done, just have her be super careful and not let the color sit on my scalp.

    Sorry! I shouldn't just assume only blondes get highlights!

    I'd say check with your doc.  I just had mine done before I found out, so I bought myself a *little* time...  I've heard different things from differerent people so when I go in tomorrow I'm going to ask as well.

    I'm going in for highlights tomorrow. Heheh.

    I talked to both my doctor and hairdresser about it, and both were cool. Whenever you get in a situation like this, just call your doc's office. They'll have a POV. Makes life a lot simpler than filtering through heresay and opinions.

    I usually highlight every couple weeks but I am going to wait till 12-14 wks!

    I called my doctor's office today and they said it is fine as long as the salon is ventilated.
