im confussed on this 1st/3rd tri blood work

in 3rd Trimester
ok...so we all did the required blood work in the 1st tri. ..so i go in for my normal 34week check-up.  all went well and then i get told that next week i have to do the 1st tri blood work over again as a normal 2nd check type thing and start getting examined every week till birth...so im wondering how normal or regular it is for everyone else to have 1st tri blood work done again this late in the pregnancy after passing everything

    It's not the same heavy blood work you had done in 1st tri.

    The only thing that's similar if I remember right,  is the CBC.

    the only blood work i had near the end was the GD test at 27weeks

    Are you in TX? My dr told me that the state of TX wants a second HIV test in the 3rd tri. She thinks it's pretty ridiculous, but does it.

    I had blood work 1st tri, 2nd tri and 3rd tri

     

    It was to check iron levels, platelets and white blood cell count

    I'm in FL and when I did my 1 hour glucose they also did a full blood panel and all stds were tested again including HIV. Apparently this is required in the state.

    Like others have said, it may be for STD's and stuff.  I was offered another syphillis test earlier in my 3rd tri again but I declined because I have been with the same partner so I didn't see the reason but they have to offer it.
