C-sections

I have no idea where to post this...

So its probably stupid to post but I am just wondering if any of you have been in the same boat or have any suggestions/answers.

I had a csection on January 26 so about 2 months or so. I had a somewhat of a period in the begining of march it was very light. I have no idea when I have ovulated. My husband and I have returned to having sex with condoms. However, I am having nausea just like when I was pregnant and headaches and hot flashes. I took two pregnancy tests and both were negative. I have no idea when I would "miss" a period because I do not have a schedule yet. I guess what I am asking is, did any of you have a return of symptoms and not be pregnant (maybe due to hormones)? Or was pregnant but recieved a negative result because you didnt know when you would miss your period? Thank you for any input. I either want to be pregnant and have these symptoms or find a way to get rid of them. They are no fun with a pregnancy let alone without. :P

  • Could be hormones, there are a lot of factors.  Are you BFing?  I BFed for over a year and my period didn't even come back until after his first birthday but during that time I occasionally had weird symptoms that could have been pregnancy except that I wasn't:-)

  • Oh good, thank you for your reply. I am actually not breast feeding. I struggled to keep it going and in the end he just wasnt gaining the weight so I gave up. I guess it really could be hormones :)

  • I am going to say it is probably hormones. While I breastfed and did not get a period until almost 6 months pp. I remember having some of the symptoms you are talking about right around the same time. Hot flashes, nausea and feeling like I was pregnant again even though I knew there was no way that was even possible because we were doing nothing at the time.
  • Thank you for responding it is so nice to know that I am not the only one! I thought it was all in my head. Thank you these replys are putting my mind at ease.

  • I BF for 9 months, and never got a period until the month after I weaned DD, but I had these exact symptoms until I got pregnant again when DD was about 15 months. It seems most of my mommy friends had similar experiences though and it took months after their periods returned for the hormones to stabilize. Even my first few periods were totally different than they were pre-pregnancy. I got nauseous every time I ovulated!

  • Oh wow, that sucks! I hate nausea. I would much rather be going through it for a baby than ovulation. LOL
