See, I've thought that for the last month. And he's not. So I now have zero faith in my sense of when he's actually teething.

I hope yours is, so the symptoms you're noticing are related to that and you know it will end...hopefully soon.

My son was acting so clingy and needy today. I couldn't put him down for more than two minutes without him whining and fussing (that led to full out crying). He spit up a lot more that usual today too... I hope he's not sick and it's just his teeth... He's been chewing on his fist and drooling like mad for a month now - come on teeth!

My son has spit a lot more than usual today too and he's been knawing on anything he can get his hands on and the drooling is out of control. I hope he's not getting sick and it's just teething. He also was extremely hard to put to sleep tonight. He goes to bed like clock work every night at 7:30ish after I nurse him and STTN til 7:30-8am. Has been doing that since 12weeks and we haven't had any problems with sleep until tonight. He went down at 8 and just now, 2 hours later gone to sleep but is stirring. He has cried on and off for the last 2 hours, some of that time we were trying to soothe him and some of that time he was entertaining himselft in his crib. This is the weirdest thing, so not like him! I have no idea what's going on? So I guess I will blame it on the teething...
