Bathroom issues TMI (sorry!)

Hi guys,

I have been having bathroom issues for over a week now. I am constipated as usual but now when I can finally go to the bathroom I have some bad diarrhea. (like I said TMI) but this has been going on for a little over a week. Has anyone experienced this? I told my ob at last appointment and he acted like it was no big deal but that was at the very beginning and it still hasn't went away.

    This has been happening to me too. But I know that when I eat hot sauce I get diarrhea and all I've wanted lately is hot sauce. Make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

    Won't it be nice to get back to normal bathroom habits?  I miss those days.

    I had bad diarrhea for about 10 days around 24 weeks or so. And I mean bad. Like... liquid. Like... you wouldn't know if I was peeing or pooping if you heard me. My OB said it wasn't totally unusual. Some women get constipated, some women get diarrhea. She seemed to think that it could have been that the baby shifted and everything was free to run straight through. She said as long as I was keeping hydrated and didn't have symptoms otherwise, she wasn't worried. It did go away on its own. I hate to say it, but I kind of preferred it to the constipation. Which is back in full force.

    I'm in the same boat, and my doctor was not concerned! She said some people get constipated, and some people have the opposite happen. Apparently, I'm the opposite right now! I've been eating more carbs in the last day, and it did help a little. Good luck!

    I just know that if that happens to me I'm supposed to call my doc right away... maybe you should call and tell him its still going on... Then again... I had high blood pressure... and had to collect my pee for 24 hours... yeah gross...

    Yes, I had to do two 24 hour urine collections and keep them in the fridge which is very gross (found out I am in renal failure with this pregnancy) My husband just told me to keep it away from his beer haha. 

    I will be seeing my mfm tomorrow so I will just mention it to her. I am not having any other symptoms other then being exhausted but that has been the whole pregnancy.

    This might not be your case but I had it for almost 2 weeks, then one morning woke up in unbearable pain (felt like gas though). Dr. Office said if it was that bad, to go to the ER. I felt silly thinking I would just fart on the way there and feel better... that didn't happen. Turns out I had sludge in my gallbladder. They had to keep me overnight with IV antibiotics (my white blood count was through the roof). Just something to keep in mind.
