Feet hurt anyone?

Hello. I have a desk job so I am not constantly on my feet, but when I go shopping or am on my feet for more than 45-1 hr they start to kill me. I dont remember this with my last pregnancy. Anyone else like this?

Re: Feet hurt anyone?

  • Yep. Even after just tidying/sweeping for about an hour, my feet start to hurt. I know I should be wearing more supportive shoes during the day, so that might have something to do with it. I wear comfy slippers at home, but they still hurt. I just keep my feet up when I sit down and rest. Thankfully I haven't had any swelling yet!

  • Yup, they are pretty bad for me, this is my first pregnancy. One of our baby classes was last week, and they had us standing around one of the instructors while she demonstrated something. The whole time I was thinking "really, you're having pregnant women stand for extended amounts of time??!?!" as my feet ached.

By the time we got home, my edema was sooo bad. Both feet were swollen and both sides of the ankles (usually its just a little swelling on the inside of my ankle, this time it was like I had two different softballs on either side of each of my ankles. GROSS!!). Learned my lesson the next day when a friend wanted to go to a museum. Made sure I was near a seat at all times, lol.

  • 8 hour shifts on my feet practically drive me to tears. I've cut down from 5 days a week to 4 because of it.

  • Yes! Mine have been killing me and I definitely don't remember this with DD. I know they hurt because of the extra weight, but I haven't gained any more with this baby than with DD. At leat we can rest assured that it won't last forever!!!
  • YES!   And then they swell which makes them tight AND painful!  I have found that wearing supportive shoes and then elevating my feet at home helps.  I have also managed to convince my husband that a foot rub helps with swelling and pain!

  • The bottom of my right foot has hurt so bad for the past 2 weeks. My feet are not swallon at all either. I think it is from my sciatic nerve. The sciatic pain in my right side lower back has decreased and ever since then my foot has hurt. It feels like I am walking on needles every time I walk. I also have a desk job and do not work on my feet. I have a hot gel pad on my foot right now for some relief. It's awful

  • Yeah I've noticed it too... I know that my shoes also don't provide the best foot support/padding, but I'm reluctant to buy new ones in case my feet end up growing at the end :-/
