This was asked in another post but thought we may get more response with its own post...
I don't have GD or high blood pressure and I'm not on any medication but my Dr ordered a 'growth' U/S for my next appointment (at 31 weeks).
Is anyone else having one? Any specific reason? I didn't expect another U/S so I'm a bit surprised.
Re: Who is having a growth U/S?
This exactly.
Thanks for the replies
I actually don't know what I'm measuring. My Dr is a man of very few words (just a lot of 'great, perfect, excellent, see you in 2 weeks!). At my 20wk US I was measuring a week ahead but I don't have a very big bump so maybe he thinks Baby is small? Either way, I'm excited to see Baby again.
Thanks again! GL with your scans!

I have already had 2 growth ultrasounds and will have another one at 35 weeks. I have to have them done due to my first child was born less than 5lbs. (4.14 lbs) full term. It looks like I will be having another tiny baby.
In most cases they are done to measure the size of baby and fluid amounts. They better prepare the dr for the delivery estimated size of baby at delivery.
Does your LO have fluid on the kidney?? This is what mine does and why we get to have another u/s at 36 weeks.
Doc just says that there is a high volume of fluid supporting the baby, but the baby is also measuring big. I have my next u/s at 33 weeks, then probably one more before baby is due.
