Okay, ladies. Little Miss is going to be here in 2-3 weeks. We are adopting and birth mom chose the name Braelyn which we are going to honor as baby's middle name. We are down to these two options after tons of consideration:
Jovie Braelyn
Willa Braelyn
Our family has us split down the middle so I'd love some advice. I know there is a character in Elf named Jovie and that doesn't bother us. Also, some have mentioned a weird character in the 80s movie named Willow and that doesn't really get me at all either since this is a different name all together.
Braelyn won't change. We are set on honoring birth mom as we did with our son too. Thanks guys!

This!
I'm surprised no one is voting for Jovie. People seem to love Josie and these two names are almost identical. (However, both are NMS.) I LOVE Willa and would totally use it for this baby if DH agreed.
I think it's really, really kind of you to use Braelyn for the middle name. Judging by your first name picks, it is not at all your style. I think it's great that you're able to overlook that and honor the birth mom, which will be really special for your daughter to know one day.
This! I really like it!
Seconding this. Also, I LOVE Willa. In fact, it's my baby girl's middle name (we used to honor family members named William, but also because I loved the name). Jovie's nice, but it sounds more like a nickname, and Willa is more sophisticated.

Diagnosed hypothyroidism.
And that would be bad , how? Bon Jovi is awesome.
I would have to pick Willa in this instance, I just love it more.
Mad kudos on your name picks. They are lovely. Also agree with pp who liked that you are honoring the birth mom with a name she picked. I think that will be special for your daughter.
like them both but prefer Willa. GL!
