First names to go with middle name "Mae"...

We are having such a hard time with girls names! Our DS is Andrew, and the middle name for a girl baby will be Mae after my grandmother.

My top choices right now are Allison, Anna, Natalie or Meredith, but my DH doesn't like Allison or Meredith, and I think Anna and Andrew are too similar. Natalie we are both ok with, but don't love it.

Would love any suggestions! We're running out of time here...

This might be the opposite of helpful, but I think almost any first name goes with the middle name Mae. You really can't go wrong. Unless you pick Mabel or something. I would focus more on finding a name you and your DH can agree on rather than trying to find something to go with a middle name that you'll hardly use.

Are there any other family names you'd consider using?

I was just wondering through and noticed..."the middle name Mae". My mom passed away in Nov 2009...and if we have a girl her middle name will be Mae (after my mom of course:) Her first name was Pamela. Just wanted to chime in bc it pulled my heart strings:) Good luck finding the perfect first name!!!!

Thanks everyone - I think you're right - Mae goes with just about everything! Although it seems to flow better with longer names. We're still having a hard time because we LOVE the name Anna, but Anna Mae seems to have a real Southern feel to it, and I still worry about Andrew and Anna being too similar.

We're set on the middle name - it is my grandmother's, and she is currently in the hospital...it looks like she may not make it long enough to meet this baby. :-(

The other top contender for me was Mae Elizabeth (Elizabeth is my middle name as well), but my DH is not a fan of Mae as the first name...we can't seem to agree on any girl names!

I really like Anna Mae, in fact I couldn't choose between that and Annabelle so she's Anna Mabel. I also love Mae Elizabeth, Alyssa Mae, Josianne Mae, Chasity Mae, Lilian Mae
