Can I blame this on baby brain?

To set the scene:  There is a double left turn lane going onto a road with three lanes.

The other day I was returning home from a trip and was in the left most turn lane.  When the light changed the guy in the lane next to me turned into the middle lane on the new road, which was my lane.  He totally cut me off and almost caused an accident.  I honked at him, he honked at me and I grumbled about what a jerk he was. 

A few days later MH and I were in the area and I started telling him what happened.  I mentioned that there is a line painted on the road between the two turn lanes, indicating which lane should go where.  "It's idiot proof!  Just follow the line on the damn road!"  I went on and on about it.

Well...we get to the turn lane I was talking about and it turns out that the white "idiot proof" line does not lead the lane I was in to the middle lane.   It leads the other lane into the middle.  Embarrassed  It turns out that I was the jerk cutting someone off!  MH had the good grace to pretend like he didn't notice!

    yes, I had to break it to me IRL preggo buddy that baby brain doesn't just disappear after you have the baby.  hell with sleep deprivation it may even get worse lol
