Palmolive baby bottle soap

Has anyone tried this stuff?  I saw it in the store a few days ago and I was intrigued, but it cost almost twice as much as normal Dawn stuff.  I was wondering if this stuff works better, or if it's just another "Dreft" type of scam.

  • I have never seen that. I have always just used Dawn.

  • I use it but I don't know if it's any better or not. It smells really good though!

  • We use it, but I do think it's a little bit of a marketing ploy. When we hand wash dishes, or let them soak, we use Gain Apple Mango Tango (or something along those lines) and I didn't want to use it on her bottles because it has all the dyes and I didn't want to make her formula taste or smell weird. It's pretty fragrant soap.

So we bought some dish soap that was clear and fragrance free just to use on her bottles but then we ran out and the stores I went to didn't have a single clear dish soap, except that baby one. That's why we have it. I don't think it's any different than the regular clear stuff. And I doubt it's a problem to use colored, fragranced soap either, it's just my own preference.

  • We use it.  DS' bottles were smelling soapy so we switched to the baby soap and it doesn't have as strong of a smell.  We'll continue to use it for a while longer until we're no longer bottle feeding/pumping.

  • I actually love this stuff.  It's not much more expensive than the regular palmolive and the smell is so much more neutral.  I don't really like the smell of "soap" because I always thought his bottles smelled so strong.  It does a great job of cleaning the bottles, pump parts, etc.

  • I don't use it. I use regular old dish soap. Also I use regular old laundry detergent as well. Bad mom here
