update to earlier post re: SD's school/concert

I just got her schools letter (came home with SD) talking about the concert and it likened the "uniform" to that of a cheerleader or athlete (yes I spent $200 on SD's cheer stuff but... still not the same thing - she wore that every week for 3 months - not one night) anyway the letter states:

Any child not wearing the appropriate outfit may be kept from participating from the concert!

How freaking ridiculous!

    Was this something that you knew from the very beginnig?  If not, then I would have a very long conversation with the Principal.

    Because there's nothing like exclusion (or mandatory black and white outfits - blah) to put you in the Christmas spirit. 
    Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.

    This is definitely not something we were aware of and i have been to every event at that school this year.  I am really annoyed!  I think I am going to send an email to the principal.  I get the point they want everyone to look nice but this has gone too far.
