I've been playing acoustic guitar since I was fifteen, but I only play every once in a while since college and usually then only the same Jenny Lewis songs over and over again. Alas! I wish I had the time/money to learn to play the banjo.

took piano lessons from pre-school untill high-school, still play some, but not all that well anymore, just enough so i can sing to baby and such.

also played the French Horn, but gave that to my lil sis after college (great for scholorships though)

I played the violin in elementary school. I could play a mean Ode To Joy. I ended up somehow not getting enrolled in middle school orchestra and my parents didn't spring for private lessons so that went out the window.

I played the trumpet in elementary school.... I was terrible. DH is a great drummer- so hopefully LO will get his talent.

I used to play the guitar.. I haven't played in a good while tho'. I can also play the piano and the clarinet. DH is a bassist.

I play the acoustic guitar, though I'd LOVE to have more talent with the piano. I can plunk out a song very, very slowly and clumsily with the piano, but I'm actually pretty good with the guitar.

I'd like to learn to play the violin, too. Jkfranklin, I'm a little jealous that you got even a short time of it.

I played the violin for 9 years as a kid and the piano for 10+. I HATED the violin for a lot of that time and begged to quit and refuse to cut my fingernails now to even try to play. I'm still good with the right hand on the piano but not so hot with the left, especially for the song I could still play for years after I stopped- Memory from Cats.

Me too! If I still had French horn I think I could pick it back up easily but I'm rusty. I also played the piano for about 15 years. Also rusty.... I wish a had a piano to practice on! I miss music.

I clicked the triangle in high school band option, but it was really the clarinet in the middle school band
I got a guitar for Christmas when I was a freshman in high school but I never took the time to learn to play it. Maybe someday!

I played the flute from 6th-12th grades: concert band, marching band & some smaller ensembles. Was part of a flute octet (8 of us) that was pretty cool. I loved marching band. Now I only pick up my flute about once or twice a yr...sad.
