Re-introducing myself

Hey!

DH and I have decided to go forward with our adoption plans and to stop all IF treatments. It was a surprisingly easy decision and transition. I know this will still be a tough road but for once in a really long time I'm optimistic, happy and not regretting our decisions.

DH is really interested in international adoption, specifically eastern Europe. And we will be attending a (free! yay!) seminar this weekend with an agency that primarily does adoptions in eastern Eurpope, Russia, and central America.

I look forward to becoming a more active part of this group.

    Hi and welcome!  We are adopting from Russia so I always feel a kinship with other Russia or Easter Europe adoptive parents.  :-)   I look forward to following your journey!

    TTC September 2010 thru October 2011
    SA February 2011: Normal
    RE App. October 2011 - Recc. Clomid and IUI

    Taking a break from TTC to pursue adoption

    Met our 2 year old son in Russia July 2012!
    Court trip October 2012
    Home November 24 2012!

    Back to RE Summer 2013. TTC journey continues: 

    Dx DOR, endometriosis, low sperm count 
    Clomid + IUI#1, #2 = BFN / IUI #3 = ???

    Laparoscopy scheduled December 2013

    Welcome and best wishes as you begin the process!! 
    DX: Severe MFI (very low motility) in 2006. 2 IVF's and 1 FET ended in 3 losses. Adopted our baby girl born 10/2/10. FET March 2012= c/p. Officially done with fertIlity treatments. Plan to start adoption process again 2014/2015.

    ...lurker popping in with additional info; I hope this isn't inappropriate... Mrs. Slick, I don't know where in Texas you are, but Lutheran Social Services of the South has an adoption program for children in Bulgaria.  Good luck!
