Intimacy After C Section

I know this is probably not at the top of most priority lists, but I have a question for those of you who have had c sections. My husband has been deployed since 16 weeks and I'm scheduled for a cs on the 30th of this month. He will be back home about 3 weeks later. I know that's too soon to be intimate again. But how soon after cs was intimacy comfortable?

    I was okd at 6 weeks and never looked back :)  I was pretty much healed by then and bleeding had stopped.  I never had any issues.

    With my CS I bled for 4 weeks off and on. I don't think we attempted anything until the 6 week mark. I was still a little sore but nothing big.

    I bled until 4.5 weeks, and then spotting started up again until about 6. We did it at 6-ish weeks but let me tell you, if you are breastfeeding, be prepared for some SERIOUS vaginal dryness, no one told me about that!

    We were okay at 6 weeks. Sex was pretty painful for a long time-probably 4 or 5 months. I think it was mostly due to BFing. Around 8 months it started being really good again.

    Ask your doctor. My doctor said to wait 6 weeks before "inserting" anything (tampons, hubby parts, whatever else?).

    My doctor gave me the go ahead for anything at two weeks pp. huh, maybe I mis-understood him.

    Same. Sex still wasn't comfortable for another few weeks, either. That first time is rough lol.

    We did it at 6 weeks (for his sake basically), I could manage at about 10 weeks, nothing enjoyable though.  I don't know if it's ever completely the same.  Like I still don't want him lying on or touching the scar.  Or even looking at it.  Add to that the exhaustion and breast feeding committment it's a wonder it's not collecting dust.  The surprising part about this was how uncomfortable it was vaginally, when I bypassed that area during birth!  It's got to be hormones which affect everyone differently so you'll just have to test the waters, slowly.

    6 weeks. I had a lady the other day work that has a 10 month old and just had twins!!! Oh my I don't know what I would do. My dr told me at least 6 weeks but they will tell u when it's ok!

    I was ok'd at 4 weeks and the first couple of times were painful but after that everything was back to normal.

    I think around 6 or 7 week pp we did it. I didn't experience any pain and it actual felt good (wee ff). Except when we had to stop because I started crying because I felt self conscience about my belly and scar. After we than stopped laughing that I cried we finished.

    DH and I had sex at 2 weeks pp. That sounds early, but I only bled for a week, very lightly and felt ready at that point. My cervix never opened at all, so there was no more risk of infection than before I got pregnant... we took it VERY easy and didnt try again for a few more weeks, it wasnt the most comfortable and I still felt really unattractive

    I'm 3 1/2 weeks pp and bleeding has pretty much tapered off.  I was told to wait at least until 4 weeks pp (preferably six) to have sex. Hubby and I couldn't wait that long lol.  We did it at 3 weeks and had no problems... perhaps a little dryness (I stopped ebf a few days earlier)
