Based on the pregnancy gender myths (such as worse acne, craving sweets or salty foods, etc) what are you having?

Im leaning toward boy because i know a LOT of people who say the chinese calendar was dead on for all their kids :P

Based on the Chinese calendar, we're having a girl.

A friend of mine has 5 children, and the Chinese calendar was right 4 out of 5 times (the one that was wrong said she was having a boy, but the daughter that was "supposed" to be a boy is a huge tomboy and wouldn't show herself on any of the anatomy scans).

I think I heard somewhere that the Chinese calendar is 90% right.

Girl based on Chinese gender chart, heart rate and cravings.

I've only done the wedding ring test and the Chinese gender chart. They both say boy.

Having a girl based on sweet tooth, acne, red highlights, and Chinese Gender Chart. I found this really interesting:

These were true with my son:

It's a boy if:

You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
You are carrying the extra weight out front
Your belly looks like a basketball
Your areolas have darkened considerably
You are carrying low
You are craving salty or sour foods
You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your urine is bright yellow in color
You are having headaches
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number

And these are all true now. WEIRD!!! Indifferent

It's a girl if:

You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
Your left breast is larger than your right breast (this is always true)
Your hair develops red highlights
You are carrying high
You are craving sweets
You are craving fruit
You crave orange juice
You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
Your face breaks out more than usual
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
Your breasts have really blossomed!
Your urine is a dull yellow color
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number

Almost 50/50! I have been having boy dreams, but VERY early in the pregnancy I was really thinking girl. It's going to be a lot of back and forth for 27 more weeks

I have heard (and I've seen it at church) that after you have 3 of one gender, it's highly unlikely that you are going to have the other gender....anyone else hear or see it?

Gender is based on husband's sperm, so yeah. Think of Henry the 8th. Kept having girls and beheading his wives, although it's HIS fault he had no sons.

Interesting tidbit: My DH was in the submarine corps when he was active duty in the Navy. Because of the radiation exposure, the number of submariners with girls is HIGHLY disproportionate to number of sons.

Mine is a girl according to

Baking soda, Chinese gender based on chinese age, string test, acne, cravings, and gut feeling.

I have had no morning sickness though and I'm getting more headaches, although it is allergy season so we shall see!:)

weird. the chinese gender chart on here says "your age at conception" (making mine a boy) and the one my acupuncturist uses says "your age at estimated due date" (making mine a girl). based on the other myths i'm split right down the middle. must be one of each! ha!

Well based on that I'm having both lol. As far as we know its not twins but we've only had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and the RE only looked for 1. I went down the list and was able to say yes to boy ones and girl ones pretty evenly.

Actually old Henry had an illegitimate son who died as a toddler and one son, Edward who succeeded him at the age of 10 and died shortly afterwards before his sisters Mary, then Elizabeth I took the throne.

Sorry I'm a big history nerd. But the point still stands that yes it's sperm that contributes to sex.

I watched a discovery channel special on 4 families with a lot of boys trying to have a girl using PGD (pre-gender determination) where they do IVF and only transplant a certain sex of embryos. One of the familys had something like 20 embryos they could have transferred and NONE were male.

I do know a lot of families that have one sex as the eldest followed by 3 children of a different sex, but I can't think off the top of my head of a family the other way around with 3 children of one sex and the youngest being the opposite.

Gender chart says boy, all my symptoms say girl.

Most of my friends and family have guessed girl - but I keep feeling like it's a boy.

I can answer yes a lot on both lists. Our heart rate is 160 though and I have had 6 dreams that the baby is a girl. At first I thought boy for sure, but all these dreams have me swaying the other direction.

This doesn't work for me... I have almost equal symptoms of both. Maybe I'm having twins and my u/s tech completely overlooked the second baby! Stick out tongue

ETA: My grandmother had 4 boys and then a girl so it IS possible even if its uncommon (she then went on and had another boy).

Also my husband has a family of four and the youngest is his sister. His mom actually wanted all boys and cried when it was a girl. Go figure now she's definitely the favorite!

Looks like I'm seeing more of the "boy myths"...the Chinese gender predictor on TB says it will be a girl, another site's predictor said boy. When I dream about baby, it's a boy. My face does look fuller (a girl myth), but that is one of the first places to swell when I gain weight. I guess the jury is out on this one.....only about 5 weeks until I find out!

So far we are 3/3 on GIRL! I bought the Gendermaker, the thing you pee on, and it was pink..The Chinese gender calendar says girl, and the ring over the belly swung in circles---girl..Hopefully! Crossing our fingers since we have already been blessed with a handsome guy.

Me too - about half of the symptoms on each list apply to me, lol.
