Quick birth story and Newborn PHOTOS

Quick birth story:
I know I'm kinda late posting this but better late than never right? I was induced at 39 weeks due to high blood pressure and GD. I went into the hospital on March 13th for the cervadil because I was only 50% and 1cm. I had very light contractions through the night but for some reason I figured I was destined to have a C-section...Mainly bc I read how most inductions lead to C-sections... therefore I cried all night long because I DID NOT want a C-section.

Anyway they started the Pitocin at 8am the next morning. The contractions got really intense soon after and my water broke as the doctor was checking me at 11:45am. I was only 2cm and 70% effaced at that time. I cried some more because I thought I should have been further along, but I was happy my water was now broken at least. After my water broke the contractions became unbearable! I asked for the epidural at 12:00 and for some unknown reason I didn't get it until 1:45. From 12 to 1:45 I was in the worst pain of my life and I literally thought I was dying. I got the epidural at 1:45 and 15 minutes later I asked why it wasn't working. I was vomiting from the excruciating pain....the nurse couldn't figure out why the epi wasn't working and said she would check me just to see where I was...well, she checked me and I was 10cm and the head was "right there!" I was like WTF? 2 hours ago I was only 2 cm and now I was at 10!! So they let me lay there 15 minutes to allow the epi more time to kick in and then I started pushing. I pushed twice and out she came!!

6 hours after the Pitocin was started Savanna Belle was born at 2:10pm on March 14th weighing 6lbs 7oz and 20inches long. She is an angel baby and my husband and I are so so in love with her.

I have really loved reading all the birth stories the past few weeks and seeing pics of everyones LO. Although I don't post as much as I would like to (stupid phone) I am so thankful for The Bump these past 9 months.
