The reason behind her diaper blowouts...

She is allergic to apples! Of all things, why does it have to be something that is really good for her and so yummy?

She had been having diaper blowouts multiple times a day, and it was getting crazy. Every morning she had apples with her cereal or granola mix. One weekend, I we ran out of apples and she suddenly had no more blowouts. She also was getting hives on her back, and those went away. Curious, I gave her one 1/2 jar of apples to see if that was it, and she had a blowout an hour later. I then stopped and warned her daycare center and everyone else. Since then, she has been fine.

I am just thankful I know what it was!

I hope she does, too. I feel bad for her! No apple pie, apple cider, apple juice, apple cobbler? :(

  • Maybe she'll outgrow it. If it wasn't for the hives, I'd say that maybe apples just have too much fiber for her. Or sugar.

I sure hope so. I know my niece had a milk allergy from age 11 months-14 months, and suddenly outgrew it. I am hoping the same for Lydia.

BTW-- That photo of your LO in your siggy is ADORABLE!

Thank you!  My aunt (a pedi) seems to think Sparky will grow out of his milk allergy. I sure hope so. We love cheese in our house.
