Don't F$%! with a pregnant lady's food!

I think I have anger issues surrounding food with this pregnancy.

First, it was the burger joint leaving off the tomatoes on my burger last week.

Then it was Taco Bell giving me a regular taco instead of a taco supreme (again with the damn tomatoes)

Just now I was all set to have some buttered toast with strawberry preserves. I just bought a new jar of preserves. Why when I go to open do I realize that the seal was broken (dented in one side) and I refuse to eat them because I don't know what could've gotten into the jar? HULK SMASH!

I'm seriously sofuggin pissed right now. PISSED! J was super sweet and gave me a hug. But no preserves.

Anyway, vent over. Anyone else getting irrational about food? I'm starting to think I need a 12-step program.

  • Me. I have food anger issues. Mostly when my kids try to take my food. We actually had to tell our kids early in the pg because we knew our 15 year old would figure it out the first time he took something I thought was mine and inevitably threaten him with a fork. He would immediately know LOL!

  • I made a piece of raisin toast and J comes up and takes a bite out of it. I nearly bit his face off! I think he knows better now.
  • I had leftover quesadillas from my fav restaurant and I had brought leftovers home with the clear intention of taking them for lunch today. Imagine my fury this morning when I found out that my stepson ate them as a late night snack. Pissed.
  • I know EXACTLY how you feel!! My husband's cousin was over at our house and started chopping down on MY girl scout cookies! I felt like chewing her face off. You can't exactly just go out and buy another box at the store......furious!

  • Oh the food anger!  ALL I wanted for 3 weeks straight was a McDonald's vanilla soft serve.....no big deal, right.  I went to THREE and all of their machines were being serviced!  It happened 4 days in a row!  Never underestimate a preggo.....I went to one near where I work (almost 20 minutes from home) and bought 3 to keep in the freezer!  :)

  • I described an open face tuna sandwich and sphagetti O's as glorious the other day.
  • Does crying for 35 minutes last night because I wanted a burrito count as crazy pregnant food issues?? Stick out tongue

I posted my dilemma on fb and a friend of mine said she did this very thing when she was pregnant with her two boys. We are not alone, though I don't get sad, I get stabby.

Oh and yeah I totally just went back to the store for more preserves. About to smash some toast with butter and preserves now. There shall be balance in the universe once more.

  • Yes I definitely have issues with food when I'm pregnant. I also did for awhile after having DD. If DH goes out to get something from a restaurant or the grocery store and he comes back with the wrong thing, it takes all I have to not start crying. Lol. I feel rediculous afterwards, but I can't help it! I think it was actually worse after I had DD. In the early days when I was BFing I felt that if I didn't get a ton of calories in I wouldn't have enough milk for DD. She was a small baby - 5 lb 6 oz born at 38.5 weeks. It was super stressful and if DH came back with something I didn't like to eat, it was the end of the world because I didn't want to eat anything else generally. Poor DH!
