How long was it before you were able to razor shave over your incision? If you don't razor shave, when did you trim otherwise? I'm getting anxious about shaving but I'm only 2.5 weeks out and I don't want to cause any pain or issues for myself.
I was irrationally afraid to shave over it for the longest time. I was afraid the skin was super delicate and that I'd tear it open or something. I think it was a few weeks before I trimmed over it, and a few more weeks before I actually shaved over it. But looking back, I could've shaved over it after two-ish weeks. I had internal, disolvable stitches. If I had had external stitches or staples that were removed after a few days/week, I would wait longer.

I was so nervous to shave over my incision. All I could picture is the razor catching a stitch and unzippering my whole stomach lol. I finally just did it about 3 weeks PP and it was totally fine.
I started at about 2 weeks (I asked the doctor at my week and a half follow up appointment and he said it was fine since my incision healed really fast). The only weird part was that it was pretty numb so shaving didn't hurt, but it felt really odd. I'm now 4 weeks out and most of the numbness subsided and I'm shaving regularly again.
Mine was really sore for weeks. I shaved it when I had to go back to the dr for the 6 week pp check up. The 1 week post surgery check up was just an oh well visit. I don't think you would cause any damage because you would stop from the discomfort before you got that rough.
