Hair falling out

Not mine, DD's.  Well mine's falling out horribly too but I can't believe hers still is.  She had a head of thick dark hair when she was born, then it started falling out on top.  We expected that to happen after birth.  But looking at then and now pics I can't believe how thin her hair is all over at 6 months.  And I'm finding it everywhere.  At first I was about to kill the cats for shedding on her things when I realized they were nowhere around - like on my nursing bras - and the hair is DD's.  How long is baby's hair supposed to fall out?

    i dont know about babies specifically but my grandmother's doctor said that you generally lose hair 6 months after a tramatic event. and birth would be a tramatic event in my opinion. i know DD#1's hair thinned out considerably but started to grow back about the 7/8 month mark. i dont think DD#2 has lost any of her hair though, at least that i can tell.

    i'd probably ask my pedi about it though since you can see it/its noticeable.

    She seems healthy enough and hasn't been long since her last check up.  I had no idea it took so long to fall out.  I guess I thought it happened right after birth.
