Anyone use isomil for diarrhea??

Dd is on day 13 of diarrhea...ped wants her to try isomil for diarrhea for 72 hrs to see if it helps...anyone ever use it?  Was it successful??  And when done did u go back to reg formula or slowly make the transition??

    When my daughter was 3 months old, she got this crazy diarrhea that lasted for 2 weeks, we called the Dr. and he recommended Isomil DF didn't work for us. After two weeks of diarrhea she had blood in her stools and a killer diaper rash. My husband and I were crazy because the diarrhea wouldn't stopped after taken her to the emergency room and urgent care. We finally decided it was time to take her to the Children's Hospital, she was hospitalized for three days due to extreme dehydration. After running all test the Doctors came to the conslusion she had an cow's milk allergy, they then put her in Nutramigen and my little one hasn't had diarrhea since then, she is almost 7 months now. Long story short, you should check with your doctor about this, my daughter was in so much pain I couldn't bear her to see her cry so much. I wish I would have know earlier and spare her from all the hard times.
