ETA: Just for clarification, I noticed the question while lurking over on the multiples board. I was pretty sure this was her home board and was hoping that someone could vouch for her over there to help allay any fears.

I don't want this to decrease any help or donations for PrettyAccountant as the emotional and financial burden she is going through right now is horrific. I do also think it is OK for people to verify where their money is going.

All I know about her is that she's handling the OOP meds program while ENTOM takes a hiatus for some personal dealings.

I have to say though I have felt some skeptism about how heavily the collection efforts are being promoted.

Its sad how many collections I've seen on TB but none ever popped up quite so fast and with such frantic soliciting....

And the incentive to donate was odd to me. I pray it's legit, and it very well may be...but it struck me as odd too.

I really can not give the side eye to this as I know all of the ladies on here are legit and want to help each other out-whether it is monetary or not.

Just my 2 cents......

I have seen her around and I really pray that no one would take advantage of that kind of tragic situation. I am thinking that she really wanted to do something for her and she was just really eager. She posted a response on the multiples board.

This exactly. And I think people at this point are just asking for reassurance and I think for this type of situation that is not an unacceptable thing to do. I do believe this is legit and her heart was in the right place.

I too worked with her for OOP Meds and she was nice. She helped match us to someone and it was great.

But I do know that Emily is back handling OOP Meds.

I thought it was odd, this morning I saw on one of her many posts she was actually calling out names of people who have donated... I think that is weird and tacky.

So sorry for Pretty, so sad and devastating and I hope I am just being paranoid.

I can say that she has been around for a while. She has given me some helpful responses in the past on other boards. I thinks it was specifically 3T.

I don't her personally, but like others have said she took over the OOP meds program while Emily was away and it ran smoothly (I dealt with her, she matched me with a donor and everything went well). In fact, when Emily was gone Adoruhbul stepped up and volunteered to coordinate - so maybe that is just the kind of person she is. Maybe I am too trusting, but I really think that this collection is on the up and up-if u read her responses on the multiples board she addresses their concerns......

I felt a little uneasy, because while apparently she posts on 3T I didn't really recognize her (and I'm a 3T reg) but then again there are a lot of newer posters who don't post as frequently as the main group. And I did give a bit of a side eye to the "intensives" and the aggressiveness behind it. And because usually a group of people get together and discuss wanting to do donations, and someone who is closest to them ends up being in charge - but there was no discussion - just a "I'm in charge".

All that being said, with all the ladies here saying she handled the OOP Med donation program well for a month and her response on Multiples board does make it seem legit. I think just the way it came about put me off a bit, but she just seems like a caring person who decided to take this up.

Thanks for letting us know, I just read Pretty Accountant's post on the Multiples board and have full faith in Adurabul now...plus she just posted over on 3T and explained her siggy pic used to have a giraffe with the intel logo - which jogged my memory of who she is. I do now remember her from the past year. She has been a fairly active poster on 3T (just didn't remember her new name, but remember the siggy and her being a part of the community). Just wanted to let you guys know.

I hadn't seen this post until Katib mentioned it to me just now. Just wanted clarify a few things here as well.

Someone mentioned this was cash without a tribute gift. I think my first post was missed by a few people. I will be sending her a gift basket and flowers nd the card in the flowers will have a letter and inside will have a note saying the amount and giving condolences from all the boards. With the check I got her a bunch of sympathy cards and writing the name of the donator and the message they've asked me to relay to her.

I also want to mention this was set up as a fundraiser through PayPal. In the past I noticed people were sending the money as a gift and not a donation. So I went ahead and set it up as Pretty being the recipient with the information on the cause. That donate button is from Paypal themselves not something I made, that was given to me once I set up the fund.

I guess the incentives was a mistake. Everyone seems to not be happy with it. I had contacted March of Dimes to see if I could make a 5% donation to them in the triplets name and told them I was doing a fundraiser for her. They mentioned the incentives program and they would get their 5%. I thought it was a great idea to fit in awareness O'd Inant nd Pregnancy Loss being someone who has had multiple losses.

I know this is the Internet and things get said. I tend to always have my big girl panties on and accept what's being said even if I disagree.

This whole thing has really hurt me in a way I didn't think could happen especially since I don't know any of the girls on the other board. As I mentioned on Multiples, I unfortunately had a horrible head injury a few years ago thats left me most likely permanently bed ridden and The Bump is really all I have. I don't have girlfriends to talk to anymore, so I feel like this is my family. I was so saddened by her loss and since I felt like she was family, I just wanted to help her.

I feel like a knife has been stabbed into my heart right now and know this whole post isnt going to be perceived well, but I'm sorry. I've cried all morning, I was completely understanding to the initial concerns but at some point personal things were said and unfortunately not only was that the only reprocussion to the fundraiser, but donations ceased immediately after that initial post went up. Knowing that I may have ruined the efforts kills me.

Im going to see of I can get someone else who gives off better vibes to take over. I don't want to prevent her from getting the funds she very well needs right now.

Originally I thought it was just that board being concerned because they didn't know me, however a few people I spoke to on a personal level through email quite a bit agreed that it seemed fishy and if people you know on a friend level are questioning your integrity you have to suck it up and admit you screwed up.

No one will know you retracted. I don't want someone to feel uneasy about a fund they donated to.

As the OOP Coordinator I can honestly say that while I was away from the program and boards for personal reasons that Aboruhbul stepped up and helped while I couldn't coordinate matches. I believe her intentions with the OOP program are the same with the fundraising efforts she has begun for PrettyAccountant, and are from the goodness of her heart.

I am so so very sorry if anything that I posted or said undermined your efforts or hurt your feelings. It is just so easy this digital age to be skeptical and I thought if people could get the verifications that have happened recently maybe the concerns would be allayed and maybe donations would increase. I am so sorry if the opposite happened.

What happened to PrettyAccountant was a tragedy and I am so very sorry if this issue has taken the focus off of where it needs to be or hurt her any further. PrettyAccountant needs us to come together as the amazing board this is and support her. Adoruhbul, that is exactly what you were doing and what you were leading the charge with. I do not think that you should have to step down as the organizer especially now that people do know who you are. You could team up with some regulars on boards that may not know you very well if that would help, but I don't think you should have to stop.

We appreciate the clarification. No one on this board was mean, in anyway. Due to the nature of the internet, people are going to be a bit weary.

It's a horrible tragedy, and only worse would be a donation not on the up and up.

I'm very happy u have made it more clear....and ever with people having questions, this board was very respectful in our discussion of it. I am very sorry if other boards were not. But please don't let this hurt ur feelings. I feel like u shed light on all of the questions.

I have been kind of staying out of this because I personally don't have much to give at this point due to us moving/losing a job but I guess I should have said something earlier and now feel bad. I dealt with Amanda with the OOP Meds program and she was very professional and nice. I can absolutely relate to the concerns about donating money on an online community but I truly believe she has the best of intentions. Sorry if it's too little too late but I would hate for all her efforts to go to waste and Pretty to end up with nothing.
