So far our LO loves everything but we have tried twice now Organic Banana and he does not like it. We will try at least 5x's and if still a no go then we won't try it again until later he is older.
The question should be, what doesn't my kid like! It's awesome, she eats a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g.
Eating meals with her is so much fun. My son was so picky and still is so meal time was a
nightmare.
She hated avocado. Which is fine. Too expensive for babies anyway and more for mom to enjoy!
She wasn't too fond of the meat baby food in jars either. Don't blame her; the stuff smells awful. She would take bites of it but just keep it in her mouth and open her mouth while making gagging sounds. (Overdramatic much?!!)
He's not a fan of oatmeal but will eat it if I put cinnamon and grated apple in it. He pretty much eats anything though. He had mushrooms and fish this weekend and thought nothing of it. We tried shellfish yesterday, while we had a hospital near by, and he was fine with both crab and shrimp. I think I'll go ahead and give him crawfish on Friday when we do our family boil.
With BLWing, it's hard to tell really. Sometimes he's just tired and doesn't want to eat so he'll throw it all on the floor, then the next day I'll offer him the same stuff and he'll inhale it. I'm pretty impressed with the vast variety of things he will eat though.
And day or night, come hell or high water, the kid would NEVER turn down a cheerio!
Thus far, the only thing C really makes a face over anymore is meat (chicken & turkey), but I think it's more a textural thing then a taste thing. We're gonna keep trying & hopefully he'll get used to it like he did with peas. We may wait a few weeks & re-introduce to see if he takes to it any better.
Green beans! She will eat them (purees), but she makes a mad face and doesn't finish her normal serving amount. Then, of course, she's begging to eat an hour later. I'm really hoping she likes them more when we try cut up beans as finger food, as they are one of the vegetables that DH and I eat on a regular basis.
He gags on every veggie I give him but then he starts liking it. I think it is a texture thing as well. The only one he hasn't gagged on is broccoli. I think it was because I gave him the whole steamed crown to chew on. It was firm but not raw. He cried when I took the mangled carcass away. One exception....he stilll hates avocado.
Pickles were a no. Ha. I was just Trying to entertain her at Fudruckers. She shudders every time she eats a bite of Greek yogurt, but it doesn't stop her.
So far DS doesn't care for avocado but DD likes it. Neither one really cares for green beans either LOL. They loved the winter squashes so hopefully that continues for the summer squashes. And Mangos, peas, carrots, pears, blueberries, pinneapple, peaches (any fruit really LOL) they love!
This week they are getting cauliflower and zuccihini (sp?) for the first time. So we'll see how that goes!
So far rice cereal, peaches & peas. We do purees. I've tried peas 5 times without success, so I guess they're out for now. I tried rice cereal a few times and he literally clammed his mouth shut, lol. He likes oatmeal though. The peaches, he ate a few bites and was done, so I'm not sure since we haven't tried those again yet. I usually buy 6 jars each new food to try up to 10 times or so.

Haha...C gets the worst look on his face when he gets a bite of Greek yogurt...like it's way too sour for him. But he always sticks the spoon back in again! LOL
Bananas and avacado she haaates. Won't even eat anything mixed with bananas. I've had some trouble with all the fruits really (we introduced veggies first so maybe it makes a difference?). We will be trying mangos this week and I'm going to try papaya again without adding bananas to it. She scrunched up her nose at apples before as well but I'm gonna keep trying. I bought fruit flavored puffs instead of the greens ones in hopes she can get used to the sweetness.
Carrots, peas, and whole foods. Loves purred banana with a passion, but hates whole banana! I sneak the carrots and peas in with sweet potato -- it's the only way he'll eat them!
Kid eats everything, but I tried broccoli last night for the first time and he actually cried when I put the spoon in his mouth for the 5th or 6th bite....haha!
