Why I need a longer vacation...

Vacation was over as of today. I got up on time, got Ky ready on time, we were going to be out the door on time until Ky let the cat out the front door. It all went down hill from there

1) I chased the cat through the wooded area bwtween our neighbor's yard and the yard below thme (we live on a hill).

2) As a result of number one my legs are scratched and I am paranoid of ticks.

3) I get to work (about 10 minutes late) and my desk chair is missing...really???

4) My PC will not start, once it starts it will not accept my log on. Once I get logged on I am informed my password ahs changed and it will not accept the first 5 new passwords I came up with because they "too closely resemble my prior 12 passwords".

5) I get a call form the sitter letting me know that while drop off was a breeze Ky is now inconsolible and is walking around her house crying and wailing, "mama, dada, bye-bye, mama, dada"

6) I get an email to verify my depoendents so they can keep thier life insurance. Ky, no problem I send in a birth certificate. Ann, they want a certificate of domestic partnership fromt he state...um try again in OH...No one on the HR info line can help me and needs to call me back in 48 hours.

    Hope your day is better mondays suck...mondays after vacation suck more.

    What a horrible start to the day!  I hope things are looking up by now, especially with the health insurance issue.  And hopefully you didn't spend your whole day standing!
