*August Angels* check-in
This check-in is for mommies who lost a baby due in the month of August (any year), and any late loss mommies who gave birth and lost their precious angel in August.
New to the check in: Welcome. I?m so sorry you find yourself here but hope you find the love and support you need from the amazing women on TTCAL. Tell us a bit about yourself, where you are in the TTCAL process, and don?t forget to include your August EDD or birth date.

funnybunny: On CD11 as of 3/27, expecting to O either 3/27 or 3/28. Next AF is due Friday the 13th! Keep us updated!
Hrgunasekera1: Actively TTC this cycle. Decided to not temp, but use OPKs and checking CM.
Big_Noise: Met with OB, but was recommended to TTA until late May. Waiting to see if hormones regulate on their own without medication. You mentioned your friend is pregnant and due the week before you would?ve been- how are you doing with that?
Kpsbabyzoe: Still TTA, waiting for cycle to restart.
Csspencer: Tested and got a BFN, AF started 3/27. So sorry it was a BFN, how are you doing? Where are you in your cycle now, waiting to O?
crystal8503: Late LH surge. Are you in the 2ww now??

baby&thesea- Appointment with endocrinologist May 1st, but thinking of making an appointment with an RE. Have you made an appointment now? ncchnat- TTA for a few cycles, and still waiting for first post-m/c AF. Has she come yet?
jobalchak- Just started TTC for 2 cycle since m/c. Where are you in your cycle and how are you doing with TTC?
doodlescaboodles- Hoping to start TTC later in the summer. Still waiting for AF to return.
EKGibs- 2nd round of clomid, this has worked before so hopefully it works again! Where are you in your cycle now?

QOTW(s): Sorry these aren't fun GTKY questions, I've been thinking about format for this check-in, so I wanted to ask a few questions and see where you ladies are.
Does it bother any that I have only been doing Bible verses as the Inspirational Quotes? Why, or why not?
Once someone gets a BFP, should I remove them from "the list" and only have them listed under "BFPs"? I don't want anyone to feel like they don't still belong in this group, because we certainly are all cheering them on! This check-in is just getting a little long I'm just looking to consolidate the starter post.

I had my appointment this morning to go over bloodwork, and the doctor said everything was normal. The u/s showed no cysts in my uterus or ovaries. So, she gave me provera to restart my cycle and we're going to hope that I start O'ing on my own without having to do Clomid. She said, she wanted to be a little conservative since we haven't even been trying for a year yet, and should we get to 6months from now without any "positive results" then she'll start me on Clomid. But she said until then she didn't want to "muddy the waters", and wanted to try and let my body do the work. I feel really good about this. I didn't want to be on loads of treatment right off the bat. I want to see if my body can regulate itself with just a little push.
QOTW: I'm not going to answer because I already know my answers, and I don't want anyone to feel that they can't disagree with me.

DH and I decided to temp next cycle, if we aren't successful this one. That was the best compromise I could come up with. I'll give his method one cycle to work, then we will try it my way. I got what I think was a positive opk this weekend (the darkest line I have seen) and had what looks like ewcm today. Now we wait!
QOTW: it doesn't bother me at all that you use bible quotes. I kind of like them. I think the bfp's can stay too. It makes me hopeful that maybe I too will be on the bfp list one day.

Just to clarify, I wouldn't take the BFP list off...but just only list those people in the BFP list and not in the general list too. Does that make more sense?

Hello ladies.
I am in the begining of 2WW (CD 17 today). I woke up on different times a few times this weekend so I think FF is not showing O date b/c of that - but if I had to take an educated guess knowing my cycles I already have O'd. I am not sure about BD timing, and we do not use OPK's, so we'll have to see.
QOTWs:
1) I am not bothered by bible verses but I can't say that I find a connection there for myself. First because I am Jewish (most verses are from the new testament as far as I remember), and second because I am not really religious. But I am not bothered by it.
2) Regarding BFP's: Perhaps we can have them on there for their first Trimester?unless they continue to check-in regularly?

Things are going pretty good here. I am 6 or 7 DPO and I'm hoping to test on Thursday. I know it might be a bit early, especially if I am 6 DPO but the day has a lot of sentimental value. I also tested positive with my first pregnancy that many days out, so I figured I'd give it my best! While I hope and pray this is our month, if it is not, I hope I am able to avoid it being as rough as last month.
I'm good with how you have things set up!

Well, I have officially graduated to PGAL. I got a BFP yesterday (very faint) at 12 dpo. I'm excited, nervous, you name it! I'm hoping and praying that this is my sticky baby!!!
As for the QOTW, I'll let you ladies respond. I could have a biased opinion. Also, I want you all to know that I love this check in! I look for it every week.
I O'd this weekend, but since I only have my right fallopian tube I'm not sure if it's a viable O. I really hate this. I really hate not knowing if I'm "shooting blanks" this cycle. I really hate that my insurance won't cover the testing to find out when I'm shooting blanks. Stupid
So far the week is going ok. I'm nervous and keeping my fingers crossed that this cycle is a live O cycle and that we get a BFP. But I'm also preparing myself for it to not happen just yet. We spent the weekend working on my bonus daughter's Family Banner project and went to the Zoo for a bit. When I'm feeling frustrated with the whole baby making process, I try and do fun stuff with my Modern Day Brady Bunch to remind myself how incredibly lucky and blessed I already am. But I still want my take home baby...

Hi ladies! I haven't made the RE appointment yet, but I did find out which ones are covered by insurance, checked out their websites, and showed/discussed it with my DH to narrow it to two offices I'm going to call tomorrow.
We went ahead and tried this cycle because I felt like my meds were adjusted appropriately and even though I haven't had another blood test, I feel fairly confident that if we happened to conceive the baby would be ok since they upped my medicine. FF says I'm 5 DPO although I kinda think I'm 6 DPO. Either way, I will be waiting until at least Easter to test, if not longer because DH and I are going out of town on Friday and I really don't want the disappointment to set in early.

Hi ladies! kps, looks like we are in a similar boat, waiting for our bodies to even out on their own. Hopefully we'll both be in luck soon. I think I O'ed on Saturday, which would be CD22...still outside of the "normal" range for an egg to not be geriatric, but progress sine last month was CD24. Thanks for asking about my friend. I'm doing ok with it. Thankfully she's been one of the most supportive people to me in this process even if she hasn't been through it. It's just hard to know I would be right along with her and our other friend (we've been friends since we were 4) is due in May...so of the 3 of us, I'm the only one not pregnant.
Lizmitchell - congrats! H&H 9 months to you!
QOTW: Bible verses are fine with me. I say keep the BFP list and if people want to continue to check in they can.

Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.
June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!

I'm kind of confused because FF is now saying I O'd last week (which would have been very bad timing BD-wise). I think it is just confused b/c my temps have been all over the place (I kept waking up in the middle of the night and just generally had trouble sleeping last week, so I've had abnormal highs that I wasn't good about noting reasons for). Plus my CM just started changing Thurs/Fri, and no EWCM yet. So I'm still looking to O Wed/Thurs... I guess I need to go back in FF and update my chart so it (and I) don't get confused later. Hopefully that will adjust the dates back where they should be. Sorry this was so long....
QOTW: I like the verses - they give me hope. And I don't mind the BFP however you choose to do them.

After a record-short 8day LP, AF came. I ugly cried. I still find myself fighting tears every now and then. CD2.
I wonder if my LP was so short because I O-ed 3 days later than usual. It's usually around 11 days. Who knows.
Today we made an appointment with a fertility clinic. Seems to be a very highly regarded one. April 25th. I feel pretty lucky that we got one so soon. No idea what to expect, but at least we've gotten the ball rolling.
QOTW: I'm not religious, but I wouldn't say the bible verses bother me... it's just not my cup of tea.
And I think it's fine to keep a list of the BFPs. It gives us all hope.
