I recently went to the hospital because i had some major bleeding.. Everything is ok, the day before i had carried a BIG bag and I just shouldnt have, it really wore me out and was super heavy, i dont know what i was thinking..
Anyways, the doctor had prescribed me hydrocodones, because they say it gets painful thoughout the pregnancy, with stomach pains from it stretching to just aches/pains all over.. I had told them that i did plan on breastfeeding.. Well my boyfriend told me he heard that if i do take the hydrocodones that i will not be able to breastfeed because it would be in my milk, and kid can not have that.. ?? Does anyone have any comments about this, if it is true or not??
Re: Prescription Meds & Breastfeeding
Isn't that why we have the lovely ability to pump and dump? :-D
You are far away from having your baby. I'm sure by that time you won't be taking hydrocodone which is a narcotic. I don't think any OB would give hydrocodone for normal stretching pains related to pregnancy that's obsurd... I wouldn't take it unless it's benefits outweigh the risks. Here is a link:
