I got one and got a one time Rx for Diflucan. My doc insisted it was safe if used sparingly. If you are into natural remedies, you can try Yin Care herbal wash which works for me. I am super prone to these-- sorry to hear about your discomfort!

Yup I'm having on right now. My OB gave me Terazol 7 to take for 7 days. Ahh relief! The OTC stuff does nothing for me. I would go to the doc and just get prescription strength treatment.

Yes I had one about a month or so ago (have NEVER had one in my life!!) Since I've never had one I wasn't sure what it was and went to the dr to get swabbed....just in case it was an infection. Gave me a Rx for the cream (7 days) because apparently the pill isn't safe during pregnancy. Yes, annoying but it worked.

I have a midwife who continues to encourage me to use natural remedies to see if they will work before going to pills. I've kind of humored her but everything she's suggested so far has worked. I had a yeast infection a month or so ago and she suggested that I eat yogurt regularly (pro-biotic crap) and to rinse my lady parts a couple times a day with warm water and white vinegar (equal parts). She gave me one of those after birth squeeze bottle things so it made it really easy. The second part is a little more awkward (thank goodness I didn't actually have to try it). She suggested that I take a separate container of plain, non flavoured pro-biotic yogurt and daily spread that around, letting it sit for a couple minutes, then washing.
You are welcome to roll your eyes, call me crazy, and disregard this whole thing. It does sound a little nutz.
I just had one a couple weeks ago and my MW called me in a RX for the 7 day cream and also an oral antibiotic to clear up any infection because I was bleeding vaginally at the time (I pretty much always am) and they didn't want it to spread elsewhere.
Re: Yeast infection. hurray.
Same thing as PP. The only instructions that she gave me was to get the 7 day treatment and not the 1 or 3 day treatment. Definitely annoying!
