Do your DC wake up from naps unhappy?

When they wake up for good in the morning they lay there and babble but when they wake up from naps or in the middle of the night they are ALWAYS crying.

Does anyone know why this is?

Re: Do your DC wake up from naps unhappy?

  • The only thing I can think of is that maybe they're crying b/c they're still tired, but are unable to go back to sleep? ?Ds wakes from naps crying UNLESS he has had a good long nap (usually dd wakes up first & wakes him up before he's really ready I think).

  • brady wakes up crying sometimes because he's a piggy and can't get a bottle the moment his eyes open. Jax cries because he's jax

in other words....I have no clue...they seem to cry when I'm alone with no help :)

  • Mine often do that and I've always suspected that it's because they're still tired and want to sleep but won't go back to sleep. ?Just a guess.
  • My twins aren't here yet, but my singleton DD wakes up cranky from her naps frequently-it's usually when I know she needed to sleep longer, but she just doesn't.  I usually let her cry a bit and she will sometimes fall asleep and wake up an hour later in a much better mood.  My DS was a great napper-always chipper whenever he woke up.  DD, not so much.  I'm curious to see how the twins will be when they arrive.
  • My DS wakes up cheerful everytime, DS is happy in the morning and after his afternoon naps wakes up crying. I mean what could he possibly be having a bad dream about? His sister taking his ball? (Just kidding) But, really I don't know. He has to be comforted and cuddled after his afternoon nap if i set him right down he freaks.

  • My boys always wake up crying, and it takes them a good 15-20 minutes before they are happy again and I can put them down. I know its because they are tired. They will only nap for 30 mins max. I have tried to let them CIO, but they will just cry and cry. But, they sleep great at night, they go down at 6:30pm and are up at 6:30am, with no interruptions.?
