2 of my cousins are pregnant, one is due the same week I was. The first cousin posted a pic of her baby bump today and announced the babies name and it was one that we were considering.
The second cousin announced today that they are having a boy. We have no boys in this generation so everyone is saying how she is having the first boy and how she broke the streak. My first loss was a boy. I feel like today has stabbed me in the chest.

While probably not intentional, friends and family say the wrong things at the wrong times. Consistently. And while it shouldn't come as a surprise, it hurts like he!l. You did have the first boy, and he should be recognized and remembered. (((big hugs)))

I found out last week that my cousin and his wife are having a girl ... And they are due two weeks after our July 23 due date.
I agree that strangers don't really bother me, but I would have been excited to be pregnant at the same time as family.
Thinking about you ... I know it's hard. But soon, it will be your turn too.
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.

BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!
Dx: balanced translocation and LPD

It's especially hurtful because your loss was a boy- do people not have any consideration when they say that she's breaking the streak?!?! Sometimes people should not be allowed to talk.
This whole experience has made me realize how hurtful words can be when you don't even realize it. I don't think I will ever post my BFP on facebook or flaunt it like maybe I would have before. It's just not fair to those who are experiencing IF or a MC.
