CP - Convertible Carseat

I am looking to get a new convertible carseat to go with my new vehicle. (R.I.P. Altima). I know that there have been 100's of posts about carseats, but unfortunately I never paid much attention. This CP has the top three that I remember seeing recommended, but please feel free to add SS if there is another that you like. (I am not just asking what seat you have -- only click it if you really recommend it.) Thanks!! BTW, space is not an issue now that I have a larger vehicle. Comfort, safety, special features, and ease of use are my priorities. [Poll]

Re: CP - Convertible Carseat

  • We have a Recarro Prosport! They make racing seats so they know what they're doing!

  • We have the Evenflo symphony DLX 65 and really like it. My brother's daughter rides in the triumph and they really like it. I honestly can't remember right now why I shoes the symphony over the triumph. There was a reason though! But, I'm at work and I hardly got a nap before coming in, and it's 6 am, and I'm tired!

  • Oh good lord, I am on my iPhone and it's not letting me edit my original post! But I looked them both up and now I remember!! I went with the symphony because it can function as a full booster until 110 lbs. I wanted something that would transition to a booster seat as well, and I don't think the triumph does.

  • I love our MyRide. It fits well in my smallish Cobalt and is easy to use/install. The only negative is that threading the harnesses is a pita. We have a used Evenflo in my mom's car and the sliding harness adjustment is pretty sweet.

This ^ Plus my husband liked the latch buckle feature over the clips. No complaints so far from us! We originally went in for the triumph and walked out with the symphony.

  • I voted Marathon because I love mine and I am really happy with it, and would buy another one again.  However, before I got it I was seriously considering the Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 Air.  It just looked so soft and comfortable, however, it did't fit in my car rear facing and we switched DD to her convertable at 5 months so I really needed to rear face till at least a year.

If space was not an issue, and if I hadn't been given my Marathon, I would still get the Pria 70.

I don't see it mentioned often but it is very highly rated too.
