What do you do??!! I cannot stand the constant screaming in the car! I've tried a mirror that plays music, Toys, playing the radio, complete silence, talking to him, singing, whistlibg, and nothing seems to calm him. He used to only cry at a red light but now he just cries all the time. I think he also hates the headrest in his set but I think it is too early to take out.
Any suggestions? When did your other LOs grow out of it?

Re: For mithers of kids who hate car seats
My DD was a freaking nightmare in the car until she was 5 months old and we went on a long road trip. I think it was immersion therapy for her cuz she was much better after that.
With DS, we got a different car seat and hes a pretty good car rider. So, either it was the seat, or it's just my dramatic DD.
DS is doing even better in the car the last few days since we got velcro-free seat belt cushions for his neck.
This. With DS1 he hated his infant car seat, would literally scream from the moment we got in the car till the moment we got out no matter how long the car trip was. When he was 2 months we bought the britax boulevard and he rarely cried in the car again.

My LO cries/screams in the carseat as well, but she's getting much better. I've done three things including:
1. use the seat belt pads (velcro on) for the belts near her neck.
2. put a burp cloth around the head rest
3. (the biggest) I take her out EVERY day in the car, even for a brief trip to the coffee shop so that we can get her used to it.
