So, I want to order some stuff from Old Navy, but I know people have said the maternity sizes tend to run large, is that true for pants as well? Normally I wear an 8 in Old Navy pants/jeans, but I'm wondering if they will be too big. I realize I can return them if they are, but I'd rather avoid it if I can! Thanks!

Any time I shop at Old Navy (even when I'm not pregnant) I have to buy pants a size smaller than I usually do. I went in there today and tried on my "regular" size in Maternity pants and ended up fitting better a size smaller
I usually read through the reviews on items I'm considering, b/c there will usually be a consensus on how it fits. I've found that some are sized true, and some run big (or in some rare cases, small). The maternity pants I ordered for my last pregnancy were a size smaller than I usually wear in ON pants though. Happy shopping!
I wear size 4 and size 4 fit me fine (with a little room for growth or shrinkage). I did use their size chart and it was accurate. I wear long length some places but an Old Navy regular length is just perfect.

This is what I do. It really helps when ordering but it's still a shot in the dark.
I know most of these posts were from last night, but I just thought I'd add that I buy one size down in Old Navy Maternity in everything from pants to dresses. I'm a consistent size 6/small everywhere (including regular Old Navy clothes), but I had to go a size down when shopping in their maternity section. Maybe they're trying to make us feel better about our pregnant selves when shopping
I'm a size 8 sometimes a 6 depending on brand and I went to Old Navy and bought size 8. I figure if they get a little lose they will shrink in the wash. I'd rather have a little extra room then none at all.

I agree! I wore maternity denim capris today from there, and they fit much better when I ordered them one size smaller than my normal size.

Read the reviews, ON buyers are good about posting about fitting. I always have to order a size or two smaller in ON maternity.
Oddly, ON baby clothes run small.
