I don't know about your babies, but my baby decided that he is NOT a baby and will no longer sit in a high chair. He's constantly trying to stand up and fights the restraints in the high chair. I'm thinking about buying a booster seat to hook up to one of the dinner table chairs. Any recommendations?

Re: Transition to booster seat from high chair?
Funny I just came on to ask the same thing!
Our situation is not that he minds his highchair so much, but that he just prefers sitting on my lap now. When I am eating by myself, he is constantly straining to get up on my lap. He also eats much better sitting on lap than in his highchair. And he will randomly be walking around & want to be put up on the chair.
So, we are heading out to the store today to pick up a booster!
We have this one at my parents' house and will probably buy another one for our house at some point. I like it because it folds up and has a strap for travel and storage.

We have this chair and use it when we go to someone's house when we'll be sitting down to eat. My big complaint about it is that it's very low - so T's chin ends up at barely above the table. It works for a time to time things, but I personally wouldn't use it at home every day. We use the store ones when we're out, and the space saver as our at home one for now.
Really? Even with the legs popped out?

We never did a high chair with Jericho, he went right to one of these boosters, with belt and tray. Works awesome! https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Healthy-Deluxe-Booster-Green/dp/B0000DEW8N
We have the space saver chair too. It's nice because it can be a highchair, trayless at the table but with the high back, or backless booster. Versitile. The only issue might be if the arms will fit under your table or not. We don't have a "lip" on our table, so it works fine.

I just took the back off of this yesterday because we weren't really using the restraints anyway. It doesn't fit under our table, but I'm OK with that because I'd rather clean her chair than the table.
