Help - BF NB / Yeast Infection

So I am bf my ds and got an ear infection / throat infection etc. I am on an approved antibotic but now got an yeast infection.

While pg I took monistat 7 and it worked....is it ok while bf too?

What can help me, I am in so much pain.....

Anyone have been bf and had an yeast infection?

    Yes you can use any of the monistats.  They even tell you to use it on your nips if you get thrush (obviously cleaning them before you nurse).

    I saw you asked what thrush is.  It is a yeast infection that can develop in LO's mouth or your nipples.  If LO has it their mouth will have white spots that you can rub off.  If you get it it will feel like shards of glass going through your breast after nursing.  The most effective treatment we found for that is gentian violet.  It is messy, but works quick.  You can get OTC at a pharmacy, but call ahead because some don't stock it.

    In addition, try using a probiotic (or even just daily servings of Activia yogurt) to replenish the good bacteria in your body that the antibiotic is killing.  I always do this with DD as well.
