I have been bleeding since I had my DD. Like, big, huge CLOTS the size of golf balls, lemons....sometimes softballs. My Dr. says the only way to get it to stop (besides just waiting it out for months) is to take REAL birth control pills (ie not mini pill). I have tried everything else and nothing else seems to get the bleeding to go away. I am devastated at the thought of losing my supply. I know it will happen....which is why I havent' even filled the prescription yet. Has anyone been successful at taking the pill and not losing their supply??

Re: Has anyone been successful with BC pills and not lose their supply?
I would get a second opinion. I am not a doctor, but it seems unlikely to me that BC pills are the only way to stop this.
I hope you find an answer soon.
I agree.
I agree with this as well. I've had bleeding issues since dd was born (this is week 12 and I THINK I've finally stopped bleeding). I had a few huge clots and retained placenta that came out on its own around 3 weeks pp. That kind of bleeding isn't normal at all! Have you tried the mini-pill yet? Before the full-on pill? I started the mini-pill last week and stopped bleeding for 6 days, then started lightly bleeding again for a few days (which is normal with the mini) and I think I've stopped for good now. I haven't had any supply problems thus far with the mini-pill.
