Does your LO hold bottle/sippy cup?

DS is EBF and has only even had a few bottles ever so it's like he's not sure what to do with it so I have to hold it. His sippy cup he will hold and drink but only takes like one sip so I have to keep giving it to him. When did your LO start holding bottle or sippy cup on their own?

around 7 months he started to hold his bottle but he can only drink it laying on the boppy, like he's not sitting up holding a bottle. He loves taking one sip of water out of his sippy and then throwing it across the room so when in his high chair i normally just give it to him myself

DD has done good with the sippy since about 8-9 months.  She can also hold the bottle, she just usually chooses not to!

He could hold a sippy since about 6 months but he still can't hold his own bottle.  I just don't think he wants to.  If I wrap his hands around it, he will--but doesn't just grab for it.  But as long as he can do the sippy I'm not too worried.

It was a killer getting DS1 off the bottle, so maybe it won't be so hard with DS2???

He started about a month ago but just recently started to drink more then a few sips at a time. His new favorite game though (once he's finished drinking) is to suck out the water and spit it out. He is 100% boy...

My baby has never held the bottle- she just gets one during the day while I'm at work, otherwise she nurses. But she just started using the sippy for water more consistently in the last week or so. She's 10 1/2 months now.

DD is almost 11 months now and she'll pick it up to throw it, chew on it, and use it a a mallet to smash her meal :)  She does put it in her mouth and get some water out occassionally, but it looks like most of it dribbles out of her mouth.  She's EBF at home and takes bottles at DC and with DH when I work a night shift.  As far as I know, she's never held her own bottle.  I'm thinking about getting some straw style sippies to try.  She loves drinking from a regular cup when I give one to her and she's always grabbing at my cup (yeah, I stopped trying to drink while I hold her!)

LO never took a bottle, only BF and sippy.  She holds her own sippy now and flings it far and wide.  She does seem to prefer the cups with handles, but will still use the handle free ones as well.
