Hey Ladies.
I'm new here from the 1st trimester board. I hit 9 weeks pregnant yesterday. Everything was 'perfect' so far-saw the hb 2 weeks ago etc. Last week I started getting insane migraines, followed by fluxuation in my blood pressure. Finally on Friday I started spotting and it continued very lightly all weekend. Today they did an u/s and there is no visible heart beat and its only measuring at 7 1/2 weeks and should be at 9.
SO I join the ranks here.
My doc is out of the country. The doc I saw today isnt comfortable doing a D&C without my doc even knowing, so she suggested waiting until next week when my doc is back which is making me super paranoid. Anyone who's been through natural m/c-I'm open to any suggestions or advise.
Not sure what else to say.
Re: New here from 1st trimester board
I?m so sorry for your loss. And I?m sure it doesn?t help that your Dr. is unreachable. I had a D&E at 11 weeks (I never had any spotting or other symptoms beforehand) but I wonder if you begin cramping or bleeding if the doctor you saw will reconsider. It?s such a painful thing to go through and you shouldn?t have to prolong it any more than absolutely necessary. I know my Dr. had me schedule a second u/s a week after the first one showed no heart beat. I realize that the holiday this week screws up schedules, but if you?re not comfortable waiting for your Dr. I would talk to a nurse to see what your options are. I?m glad you found this board ? the women here are truly kind and it has been extremely helpful to me, especially since this was my first pg and m/c. You?ll be in my thoughts.
So sorry that you have to join us. This board is very supportive and I have found it very helpful to have others who have gone through what I am going through to listen and give advice.
I saw the heart beat at 8 weeks, then unfortunatly had a miscarriage as well. I did have a natural m/c. I had basically a period for 12 days, then it stopped then I had a heavy period for 4 days. As soon as I lost the baby the very next day the bleeding stopped all together.
It sounds like your body is already starting to take care of things naturally. Hang in there and take things one day at a time.
I am so sorry for your loss. I also went in for an u/s at 9 wks and the baby stopped developing at 7.5 wks. I never saw the heartbeat though.
I opted for a natural m/c, but I know my situation is far different from others'. The bleeding for me started about 4 weeks after the baby stopped developing, then continued on and off for 3 months. I had 4 different instances where I passed tissue. I think I finally passed the baby in July and bleeding stopped about 2 weeks later.
I just wanted to encourage you that if you do choose to miscarry naturally, there is nothing to be afraid of. Your body knows what to do. And don't be afraid to ask the drs. all of your questions and about what your body is doing.
Take care and good luck.
I'm very, very sorry for your loss.
I had a natural m/c, we found out at 7w5d and I passed our baby at 8 weeks. Expect some heavy bleeding and cramping, take tylenol if you can and try to not over extend yourself. Take care of you and only you - try not to worry about anything else and lean on others for support. I wish you the best and again, I'm very sorry for your loss. Know that you have found a good place - these women are incredibly supportive and strong. You aren't alone. If there is anything I can do to help you please don't hesitate to page me.
God bless.
I am really sorry for your loss. My first m/c was natural, but I was only 5 weeks. I had a d&e this month and it was virtually painless. I had some really minor cramping (not as bad as AF) and was fine the next day to go about my life. The doctor that did my d&e was NOT my doctor, which sucked, but I did not want to wait. If you do not want to wait, I am sure you can insist.
Take care... I'm so sorry.
