I helped my DH put his new desk together- it weighs about 120lbs. I didn't help him too much with the extended heavy lifting, but I forgot myself a few times and I would bend over and lift up a side so he could fit a piece or something like that. Every single time I lifted anything I would get a Braxton Hicks contraction- after that happened twice I gave up trying to help him with anything that I couldn't do sitting down. I drank lots of water and rested in the afternoon, but I had continuous BH's. Plus I had some intense nausea and queasiness and had a headache.
Baby is moving a lot, and sometimes it feels weird- like he is blowing bubbles. It is a bubbly/fizzy feeling low down in my abd under my belly button.
I slept terrible the night before, so don't know if this had anything to do with how I felt like crap all day. I don't get the fizzy feeling in my belly- has anyone had that? Baby kicks pretty hard and rolls/slides around, but this fizzy feeling is a new feeling. Could it be what I did today? IDK, I just feel weird...
Re: I think I overdid it today...
I over did it last weekend and ended up getting sick for most of the night after. I learned my lesson for sure.
I'm not sure about the fizzy feeling though. I have never felt any thing I would describe as that.
I'm sure you're fine. Just do what you have been doing...drink some water and lay down on your left side. As long as you aren't having true contractions or your water breaks I wouldn't worry.
Well, I know this isn't exactly the same but 2 weeks ago at my appt. I was telling my OB that I was feeling alot of pressure and some abdominal cramping. He hooked me up to a machine to make sure I wasn't having contractions and I was not. He said that since this isn't my first pregnancy, I am carrying the baby lower than normal and I was probably overdoing it at work. He suggested drinking plenty of water and laying down for an hour or 2 whenever I didn't feel right. He said that if the feelings didn't go away after 2 hours, to go ahead and call the office.
So far, I've been able to sit and relax and feel better after about an hour. It's hard to remember that we can't do all the things we could do just a few short months ago! Get some rest and hopefully you will be feeling better soon!
