Bumblebee party for boy?

Thinking of doing a Bumble bee party for DS's first birthday.  His name starts with a B, so thought I could tie it in.  Do you think Bumble bee's are more appropriate for a girl, though?  Some of these parties are inspiration:

(love the 2nd one, and it's obviously a boy - but this is the only boy one I've found in about 20!)

  • My best friend had a "Bee Tea" for her son's birthday when he was around 3-years-old. It was adorable and it didn't even occur to us it might be more appropriate for a girl. (That son is now 14 and it doesn't seem to have had any negative effect on his life. Wink)

  • Do want you want!  I think bees are appropriate for boys and girls.  Gender specific things I only think of when it is a minnie mouse theme with all pink or something to that effect.  Go bee-zerk with it!  I think it would be cute!

  • I think it's absolutely adorable and can be used for a boy just fine.  We're doing "you are my sunshine" for ds2's party, and like you, 90% of the parties I have found (not many to start with) have been for girls.  We're "boying" it up with navy along with the yellow.

  • I've been thinking about doing this too...since DS's name starts with a B...and it'll be summer...etc.  I say go for it!!!!

  • I think it's adorable, versatile, and can totally work for a boy!  Go for it and post lots of pics of your cute party! :)
