Constipation

Has anyone's LO been constipated before? What solutions worked to get them pooping again? We have tried juice, rubbing his belly, pumping his legs, tons of fruit, and we have glycerin suppositories on hand as a last resort.

Help!

Re: Constipation

  • I would just go for the suppositories.  They work quick and are painless.  Another idea is miralax, but it does tend to take at least the night to work.

  • If I give DD 3 Pedialax she will poo sometime that day.  Constipation is a constant struggle for us even though DD eats tons of fruit and veggies and drinks plenty of water.

  • Make sure he's well hydrated with lots of water, and try some prunes or a lot of raisins as well.  Prunes usually help things clear out around here.

    Which one is having issues?

    Are you positive he's constipated?
