Clogged duct or mastisis?

For the past day or two I have had sharp shooting pain in one breast while nursing. Today there's a lump on that side near the chest wall that seems to go down after nursing. Now I have the sharp pins and needle pain in the other breast but no lumps. No fever or chills at this point.

Anyone have a similar experience? Could i have clogged ducts on both sides or might this be turning into mastisis? What helps relieve this... fast?

I'd say clogged duct if you don't have a fever and aren't feeling sick. When I have clogged ducts, I use a heating pad before nursing/pumping. I also try to make sure all the milk gets out of the clogged side. Massaging where the clog is also helps as does tons of water and rest. Good luck!
